About The Salem Foundation
Founded in May of 1930 by the Board of Pioneer Trust Bank, the Salem Foundation has a long history of serving the greater Salem community. Donors who make the Salem Foundation one of their philanthropic priorities share the common purpose of making a difference, locally.

We all know that Salem will face challenges tomorrow that we cannot even begin to anticipate today. The Salem Foundation is a flexible vehicle for donors who want their giving to impact local charities and causes. At the heart of our work is a spirit of caring and commitment to excellence. We join many community partners to help make our whole community strong and healthy.

Last year alone, the more than 30 sub-funds established for charitable purposes in and around the greater Salem area provided more than 2.2 million dollars to approximately 90 organizations and individuals.

The Salem Foundation accepts and distributes gifts from individuals, families and businesses for the benefit of Salem and the surrounding communities. Classified as a Public Charity, your gifts are tax deductible.
